The city of Chicago commissioned this station to replace two existing stations, each over one hundred years old. LS Glass was responsible for the striking overhead glazing, provided by Pulp Studio, which undulates along the length of the station.
Each light of glass is unique, either for its size or built-in pattern.
The project also includes glazed elevator towers, windbreaks at the station and escalators, and glass moonlighting as art.
